Bills' OL corps takes hit with loss of center Urbik

BY DAN BEGNOCHE

Despite handily defeating the Broncos, 40-14, the Bills' effective offensive line corps lost a strong piece of their unit as they head into their last game of the season.

Center Kraig Urbik went down in the second quarter of Saturday's game with a knee injury, forcing an early departure for the second-year starter. Urbik was replaced by backup right guard Colin Brown, who played center in high school before moving to right tackle at Missouri.

“Colin (Brown) was a little bit shaky early with the snaps and then he settled down and did a better job,” Gailey said of the backup in his post game press conference. “Right now it will be Colin that will play in there this week.”

Despite preseason skepticism regarding the squad's leadership and experience, the line has put up some of the best numbers in the league, including holding teams to the fewest amount of sacks and QB hits against while paving the way for some solid rushing performances.
