Jets coach Rex Ryan and Giants running back Brandon Jacobs exchanged words following the Giants' 29-14 victory over the Jets Saturday.
What was said? Depends on who you ask.
Newark Star-Ledger's Steve Politi and Mike Garafolo tweeted that a Star-Ledger photographer overheard Jacobs tell Ryan "It's time to shut up, fat boy."
Jacobs, however, said Ryan approached Jacobs "the way his pops went after (Kevin) Gilbride" before Jacobs told Ryan to "Shut the f*** up," according to the NY Daily News. Ryan responded with a "Go f*** yourself."
Jacobs told Garafolo that Jacobs said to Ryan, "You're talking to the wrong Giant because I'll kick your ass."
During his postgame press conference, Ryan told the media that Jacobs doesn't like him, and he doesn't care about Jacobs, either.
Whatever was said, it seems Jacobs was doing most of the talking after the game. Ryan did the majority of his talking all week before the game.
