Tom Brady doesn't agree with people who say he gets more penalty call help than the average quarterback.
The Patriots quarterback was asked on WEEI Tuesday if he agreed with a penalty against the Bills that negated 15 return yards from an interception Brady threw Sunday. Brady was barely touched on the play but did his best to roll down to the ground, drawing the penalty.
Even Brady agreed that it wasn't a penalty. But that doesn't mean he thinks he gets special treatment.
"I haven't gotten any calls all year," Brady said. "That was maybe my first call all year.
"It's funny because people say that, but I don't get any call. I think it's just a little bitching from other guys."
Brady, who actually had a provision of the roughing-the-passer penalty named after him, elaborated.
"It's part of the position," he said. "... Receivers get calls, DBs get calls, but when a quarterback gets calls, there's some big issue with it. Everyone's bitching about quarterbacks getting calls."
