Bill O'Brien won't be getting in any sideline arguments with Tom Brady next year.
O'Brien, the Patriots' offensive coordinator, has agreed to become Penn State's next head coach, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen.
The first-year offensive coordinator will fill the coaching void left by Joe Paterno, who was fired in November after the Penn State sex scandal coverage was kicked into high gear.
O'Brien served as the Patriots' receivers coach in 2008 and the quarterback coach in 2009. He is expected to finish the Patriots' playoff campaign.
