The Patriots dropped receiver Tiquan Underwood the night before losing to the Giants in the Super Bowl. He's back.
New England signed Underwood and six others to future contracts Tuesday, as announced on the team's website.
Underwood didn't get to participate in the big game despite spending the two weeks prior preparing with the team and going through all the festivities in the week leading up to the game.
New England released Underwood Saturday, likely so the Giants couldn't scoop him up before the game. Still, it seemed like a suspect move.
Underwood reportedly still was paid the $44,000 everyone on the losing end of the Super Bowl received.
