The Jets are reportedly interested in quarterback Tim Tebow, who is for the taking after the Broncos signed Peyton Manning this week.
But Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie, who has been very vocal on Twitter this offseason, doesn't think Tebow can help the Jets.
"We don't need Tebow," Cromartie wrote on Twitter. "We sell out every home game let him go to Jacksonville Tampa or Miami. Our wildcat offense can b ran by J. Kerley or Joe McKnight we straight."
A source close to the situation told the New York Daily News that what Tebow can add to the locker room in terms of character and leadership is the main selling point for those in favor of bringing Tebow to New York.
But if Mark Sanchez were to struggle for a few games in the opening stretch, things could get pretty ugly between the New York media, New York fans and Tim Tebow on the bench.
Ultimately, the Jets will likely avoid the drama.
