Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie said he's making a move.
"I guess I'm moving to FS (free safety)," Cromartie tweeted Sunday night, hinting that he had just finished up a discussion with someone in the Jets organization about a switch.
"The reason I say I'm moving to FS is because Kyle (Wilson) is becoming a good corner and I don't mind the move."
The tweet was curious on two levels: Cromartie couldn't have been advised to make that sort of declaration himself, and the move doesn't seem to make a ton of sense.
Cromartie is a pretty good cornerback and does his job well across star defender Darrelle Revis. Wilson, on the other hand, hasn't yet proven to be anything more than a third cornerback used against slot receivers.
