The Bills, who have been focused primarily on defensive personnel this offseason, hosted three defensive draft prospects Monday.
Topping Buffalo's visitor list was Alabama safety Mark Barron, who is considered the best safety in the 2012 draft class.
Taking on different roles in the middle of the Crimson Tide's defensive backfield, Barron amassed 12 interceptions and was the team's second-leading tackler in 2011.
“We played in a very difficult defense,” Barron told BuffaloBills.com. “We ran a lot of different schemes. As far as communicating, I had a lot to do with that on the back end. I feel like sometimes I brought some energy with the hits that I made and things of that nature. So, I did a lot of different things.”
Barron didn't partake in the NFL combine due to hernia surgery.
According to BuffaloBills.com, the Bills also hosted Boise State defensive end Shea McClellin and Central Florida cornerback Josh Robinson.
McClellin and Robinson are projected to go in the second round, with McClellin a possible first-rounder.
