The Bills' seemingly deep wide receiver group got a bit thinner Tuesday, as wideout Roscoe Parrish signed a one-year deal with the Chargers.
Buffalo's top three receivers still remain Stevie Johnson, Donald Jones and David Nelson, and Parrish is pushing 30. On the other hand, he did offer an exceptional deep-threat option and was a capable special teams starter.
Parrish amassed more than 1,500 yards receiving and seven touchdowns in his seven seasons with Buffalo, including more than 2,300 yards combined return yards.
The second-round draft pick out of Miami was a fan favorite in Buffalo, but he may be remembered more for his inability to stay healthy, missing chunks of seasons including most of last year due to various injuries.
Parrish's departure makes the need for a competent receiver in the draft even greater, and begs the question: What need do the Bills see as priority No. 1, wideout or offensive lineman?
