So much for the "dissension" between Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez and receiver Santonio Holmes.
The fourth-year signal-caller and veteran wideout are working together in Florida this week, according to the Star-Ledger. Sanchez, Holmes, tight end Dustin Keller and receiver Patrick Turner are training and playing throw-and-catch at the ESPN Wide World of Sports.
"I know for a fact Santonio Holmes and Mark Sanchez are close," Holmes' longtime trainer Tom Shaw told the Star-Ledger's Jenny Vrentas.
The Jets' foursome, along with a handful of Shaw's clients, including the likes of Steelers cornerback Ike Taylor, Cardinals cornerback William Gay and Titans running back Chris Johnson, will be continuing sessions for the next few days before attending their teams' regularly-scheduled activities next week.
"Mark was in charge, everyone was listening to his instructions," Shaw said. "Guys from other teams, too. (Titans running back) Chris Johnson, Larry Taylor, who used to be with the Jets. Once we finished the workout for the day, Sanchez took over. He was in charge of the whole offensive part. He is working hard, and he's doing everything he can to get better."
"... I'm pretty impressed with Sanchez, I really am. I think he's someone the Jets are lucky to have."
