Homer Guide: Week 8 AFC East fantasy glance

BY SAM HOLLINGSWORTH

A look at fantasy starts and in the AFC East for Week 8.

MIAMI DOLPHINS
In the lineup:
RB Reggie Bush — Bush opened the season with the best running of his pro career and was ranked at the top of the fantasy depth chart until getting banged up versus the Jets in Week 3. He’s been struggling lately, but I don’t have the guts to bench him.
On the bench:
WR Brian Hartline — Hartline’s numbers have dropped a bit since word on him got out (notably his Week 4 stats), and he didn’t notch a single catch in his last game. Now he'll be up against the Jets' stout secondary.

NEW YORK JETS
In the lineup:
RB Shonn Greene — Greene is picking up some serious momentum lately, and the Jets' run offense has something to prove against the Dolphins. He'll get lots of work.
On the bench: QB Mark Sanchez — Sanchez hasn’t been playing terrible football this season, but his potential is limited with the skill players around him. Plus, the Jets will lean on Greene against Miami.

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS
In the lineup:
QB Tom Brady — The United States' version of David Beckham will make it rain in Europe. Don’t mind the trip overseas. He has too many weapons, and coupled with the Rams' pass defense, a 500-yard thunderstorm in London is a possibility.
On the bench: RB Stevan Ridley — Ridley’s got what it takes to fill the shoes of BenJarvus Green-Ellis; he’s already proven that. But he’s slowed up the past couple of games since his back-to-back 100-yard performances and I expect a big game in the air by Brady.

BUFFALO BILLS are on a bye week.
