Dolphins: Turnovers absolutely critical vs. Patriots

Problem is, the division-leading New England Patriots are coming to town.

Miami, losers of eight of its past 10 matchups with New England, including four straight, must find a way to keep up with Tom Brady and the NFL's highest-scoring team if it has any hope of winning.

But Ryan Tannehill, the Dolphins' rookie quarterback who has yet to face off against the perennial AFC East juggernaut, isn't getting any more hyped for this one. At least that's what he's saying.

"They're just another team," Tannehill said, according to the Miami Herald's Armando Salguero, via Twitter.

Whether that sentiment is workman-like focus or just blissful ignorance is unknown to us, but the first-year signal-caller does understand how important limiting errors against this opponent will be.

New England boasts a league-best (by a lot) plus-24 turnover margin, amassing 32 takeaways with just eight turnovers of its own. Quarterback Tom Brady has thrown just three interceptions to 24 touchdowns.

"They don't turn the ball over very much," he said. "So in order for us to win that battle we can't turn the ball over."

Reggie Bush echoed Tannehill's sentiment.

"It can easily get out of hand if you find yourself turning the ball over," running back Reggie Bush said, according to Omar Kelly, via Twitter.

Bush also said that a giveaway in your own territory is an "automatic touchdown" against the Patriots.

It'll take a monumental effort on both sides of the ball and some luck for this young Dolphins team to knock off New England, which can clinch the division title with a victory.
