Monday Morning State of the Division: Post-Week 10

BY NICK ST. DENIS

The New England Patriots are now running away with the division after improving to 6-3 and 3-0 in the AFC East with a victory over the Buffalo Bills.

Buffalo, the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins all lost Sunday to fall to 3-6, 3-6 and 4-5, respectively.

Unless something absolutely crazy happens, the Patriots should cruise to another divisional title, leaving the rest of the AFC East teams fighting for an improbable Wildcard berth. If the season ended today, the 6-3 Indianapolis Colts and 6-3 Pittsburgh Steelers would grab the two Wildcards spots.

The Dolphins have a tough road ahead with two games against the Patriots and NFC contests with the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers.

The Bills and Jets have a little softer stretch coming up, but at this point, neither team looks capable of winning more than a couple games. What looked like a meaningful Week 17 game between the division's cellar-dwellars will likely lack any intrigue at all.
