George Wilson was expected to land on his feet quickly after the Buffalo Bills released the veteran safety a week and a half ago. And that he did.

“George is a quality veteran player,” Titans general manager Ruston Webster said, via the team's website. “He will contribute for us on the field, but his contributions also will come off the field, in the locker room and in the meetings rooms."
Wilson was a team captain in Buffalo the last five years and recorded 202 tackles over the past two. While the soon-to-be 32-year-old didn't decline drastically from his 2011 campaign that saw him intercept four passes, his $3 million cap hit wasn't in the cards for the rebuilding Bills.

"He was respected as a football player and a leader during his career in Buffalo, and he will bring that veteran presence to our team," Webster said.
