Thursday, Gang Green hired former Atlanta Falcons defensive coordinator Brian VanGorder as the team's linebackers coach. VanGorder held the coordinator position with Atlanta from 2008-11 before assuming the same role at Auburn last year.
VanGorder will replace the departed Bob Sutton, who is in Kansas City with the Chiefs serving as defensive coordinator under Andy Reid.
New York also announced the hiring of Bobby April III, who will be assigned to quality control on defense.
