The Miami Dolphins and Oakland Raiders officially completed a linebacker swap, though not by trade.
Less than a week after the Dolphins signed Philip Wheeler on the first day of free agency, the Raiders picked up veteran 'backer Kevin Burnett, according to Steve Corkran of the Bay Area News Group. (photo: Matt Britt, Flickr)
Burnett, who spent the last two years in Miami, tallied 109 tackles, 2.5 sacks and five passes defensed last season.
The 30-year-old, eight-year veteran previously spent time with the San Diego Chargers and Dallas Cowboys. He'll join Kaluka Maiava and Nick Roach as recently-signed linebackers in Oakland.
