The Miami Dolphins planned to reveal their new logo at the end of April.
But we're not even through the end of March yet, and their secret is no longer safe.
Wednesday, Dolphins CEO Mike Dee confirmed the new logo (right), which was leaked earlier in the month and briefly appeared on NFL.com earlier in the day, is in fact the real thing.
“It was leaked by somebody at Nike,” Dee said, via the Sun Sentinel. “We had always had a plan to kind of roll it out over a 30-day period so we’re going to start rolling it out. But the logo is only one part of the announcement. It’s a complete re-branding of the team.”
To gauge fan reaction, here's a poll on SB Nation's The Phinsider. As of this post, opinion of the logo, according to the poll, is basically split. However, judging by the comments section of this Sun Sentinel story, there is plenty of fan disgust regarding the change.
