The New England Patriots are again likely to bring a handful of veteran receivers to camp with few promises.
Thursday, the Patriots signed Michael Jenkins, most recently of the Minnesota Vikings. Jenkins spent seven seasons with the Atlanta Falcons before donning purple the last two years.
Multiple reports state Jenkins is probably slated to make the veteran minimum in salary as he competes for a job. (Photo: Rick Burtzel, Flickr)
The soon-to-be 31-year-old wideout, who hauled in two touchdowns and totaled close to 500 yards last season, will work with the likes of Danny Amendola and David Nelson, along with probably another couple veterans and a draft pick, as New England picks out who fits best with its 2013 plans.
In a corresponding move, the Patriots released reserve receiver Shun White, who was on the military list and recently completed a stint in the Navy, according to Mike Rodak of ESPN Boston.
