Tom Brady and Danny Amendola aren't wasting any time.
According to USC's official Twitter account, Brady and Amendola, Brady's new primary wide receiver target, were working out together at the school's facility Tuesday. USC receivers coach Tee Martin also tweeted a picture. (photo: Jeffrey Beall, Flickr)
Brady has made a habit of bringing his teammates to California to help them transition into the team's OTAs and camps.
It's especially important for Amendola, as he's new to the Patriots' system, which has had a knack for getting the best, and worst, (out) of incoming veterans.
Amendola has some big shoes to fill in replacing Wes Welker, who departed for the Denver Broncos. Welker caught at least 111 passes in five of the last six seasons in New England, amassing no fewer than 1,165 yards in those same years.
The 27-year-old Amendola, who is four years younger than Welker, missed five games last year due to a clavicle injury and played in just one in 2011 thanks to an elbow ailment. Amendola hauled in 192 catches in 42 games with the Rams.
