With Woods, Bills' draft class nearly locked up

BY NICK ST. DENIS

The Buffalo Bills are almost out of the Woods. Awful pun.

The Bills have agreed to terms with second-round receiver Robert Woods, as first reported by ESPN's James Walker. With that, Buffalo has all but one of its eight 2013 picks -- first-round quarterback E.J. Manuel -- locked up. (photo: Neon Tommy, Flickr)

Woods can now focus on taking the Bills' No. 2 receiver gig opposite Stevie Johnson.

The former USC Trojan hauled in 32 touchdowns during his three-year collegiate career and has already built some chemistry with Manuel, who is also fighting for a primary job. Woods will battle with fellow rookies Marquise Goodwin and Da'Rick Rogers, as well as the returning T.J. Graham, for real estate atop the depth chart.

"Rob did a great job [during rookie camp], always seemed to be open and ran great routes," Manuel said last week. "You want to get the playmakers the ball and that’s what we did..."

The Bills are holding OTAs this week.
