The Miami Dolphins' offensive line has been really bad through the first quarter of the season. That much is obvious.
But apparently New Orleans Saints linebacker Junior Galette wanted to make sure that if you didn't know, now you know. The Saints' defense breezed through the Dolphins' offensive front for four sacks, 10 quarterback hits and four turnovers en route to a 38-17 victory Monday night.
"Up front we just kept taking advantage of their weak tackles and their inside guys," Galette said after the game, via ESPN.com. "I wish we could play them again so we could tee off on them again.”
The Dolphins fell to 3-1 with the loss, while the Saints stayed unbeaten at 4-0. Miami's 18 sacks given up is tied with the Jacksonville Jaguars for the most in the league.
Galette recorded a sack and two quarterback hits, and Tryunn Walker, Cameron Jordan and Martez Wilson added a sack apiece. Jordan hit Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill three times.
“It was a nice win, but I don’t think that team was as good as everybody was saying,” he said. “We just abused their offensive line all game.”
Miami has a short week to prepare for a likely angry Baltimore Ravens squad coming off a sloppy loss to the Buffalo Bills.
