The pieces are finally starting to fall back into place around Geno Smith for the New York Jets offense. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for E.J. Manuel and the Buffalo Bills.
Fresh off a bye week and poised for their divisional showdown at Ralph Wilson Stadium Sunday, Gang Green will welcome back a few faces to their banged-up receiving corps.
Santonio Holmes, who's been out since Week 5 with a hamstring injury, is set to start this weekend on the road against Buffalo, while tight ends Kellen Winslow and Jeff Cumberland are also poised for a return.
Cumberland missed the team's last game with a concussion but practiced this week in limited fashion, as did Winslow, who was back at practice following a suspension last month for violating the league's performance-enhancing guidelines. New York will be without wideout Jeremy Kerley, however, as the 25-year-old did not practice at all this week and is still rehabbing an elbow injury.
Buffalo, on the other hand, can't seem to get its offense healthy all at the same. The Bills finally have their No. 1 draft pick in E.J. Manuel back in the mix, but the hits keep on coming for the starting wide receivers.
Veteran Stevie Johnson is unlikely to start Sunday's game with a groin injury, which he sustained last week in the team's loss to Pittsburgh. He'll join No. 2 wideout Robert Woods on the sidelines, who missed last week's game with a high ankle sprain and was ruled out early this week by coach Doug Marrone.
Here's the full slate of injuries for both teams:
