While Rob Gronkowski appears to still be limited to the weight room during organized team activities this week, the New England Patriots tight end expressed some optimism Wednesday--not that it's any surprise.
"It's coming along [well], just rehabbing every day, improving every single week, and that's all I can ask for," Gronkowski said of his recovering ACL, via ESPN Boston, while attending an NFL-sponsored Play60 event at a nearby school.
Gronkowski added that there have been no setbacks thus far, unlike last year's troubles, which came in the form of multiple surgeries on his forearm due to infection.
This time around, the Patriots hope Gronkowski can avoid the PUP list and return to the field--at the latest--during the first half of the season. Patriots owner Robert Kraft, also in attendance at the event, pitched in with his take on the prospect of Gronk's return.

"I am down in the training room, and he's been there and he's been very diligent and working very hard," Kraft said.
