The Miami Dolphins announced Tuesday they have signed defensive tackle Deandre Coleman off the Jacksonville Jaguars' practice squad.

In a corresponding move, the team waived safety Brandian Ross.

The 6-3, 315-pound Coleman originally signed with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent in May.

A four-year letterman at California, Coleman played in all 49 games in his career with 25 starts and totaled 125 tackles, 26.5 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, three passes defensed and two fumble recoveries.
