Jackson likes Fitzpatrick but wants to 'kick his butt'

BY EDITOR

Fred Jackson spent a handful of years taking handoffs from Ryan Fitzpatrick during the journeyman signal-caller's stint with the Buffalo Bills.

Sunday, the closest they'll get to that is a handshake, as Fitzpatrick's Houston Texans are hosting the veteran quarterback's former team.

Jackson typically roots for Fitz, but he's going to take a break from that this week.

“You always want to see former teammates and guys that you’re close to do well, but when you play against them they’re on the other team so you want to kick their butts just like anybody else,” Fred Jackson said, via BuffaloBills.com. “It will be for bragging rights.”

Defensive tackle Marcell Dareus, meanwhile thinks the Bills have a pretty good read on their old QB.

“He’s a smart guy, but I feel like we do (have an edge),” he said. “We have to watch the film a little bit. See where he’s going with that offense. But I think we got him.”
