The insult is the New York Jets' secondary. The injury is cornerback Dee Milliner.
Milliner, the team's oft-injured No. 1 cover guy, left the field in the first half the Jets' 31-17 loss to the Denver Broncos after sustaining a non-contact injury. By early accounts, it doesn't look good.
According to the NY Daily News, the Jets believe Milliner sustained a season-ending Achilles ailment.
He'll undergo further testing, but Jets coach Rex Ryan said after the game he "would assume" Milliner would be out for a while.
