Well, Mr. Curran, we know it wasn't for a lack of effort.
Friday, CSNNE's Tom Curran tried to a get a little insight from New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick on cornerback Darrelle Revis' season.
"He's done a good job for us," Belichick said, among a bunch of other coach speak, such as "He's a very good player," and stuff.
We like Curran's writing, because he often walks readers through the questioning of a player or coach instead of just dropping in quotes where they fit. And in this case, there really wasn't a whole lot of quotage to use, anyway.
This is a good example of that, and an even better example of how sometimes (oftentimes), Belichick just ain't gonna give you what you want... which makes it all the more fun when he decides to go off on a 10-minute tangent about the importance of the punter in football.
