Together, they combined for more than 240 targets and and 2,000 receiving yards in their rookie season, but explaining the competitive nature between Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham, Jr. is apparently much deeper than their first-year stats.
"No one would understand. Honestly!" Landry said via Omar Kelly of the Sun Sentinel Wednesday. "It's a silent competition. We both inspire each others in ways that people won't understand. It's something between me and him, [meant] to encourage each other."
The former LSU teammates are both looking to make big contributions to their respective offenses in their second year, where their "silent" competition could get a bit louder. The pair has reportedly already planned a little show during pre-game warmups in their Week 14 matchup, which will take place in Miami on the national stage.
