Fred Jackson saw it coming.
Throughout his career with the Buffalo Bills, the workhorse running back has always had a formidable companion in his neighborhood on the depth chart.
So when Buffalo traded for then-Philadephia Eagles tailback LeSean McCoy this offseason, Jackson was far from surprised.
“To me it is what it is. I’ve been here with Marshawn Lynch, a tremendous runner, C.J. Spiller and explosive guy himself. For me it was something that I expected to happen,” Jackson told WGR550 Tuesday, via BuffaloBills.com. “I expected them to try to cover their bases and bring in a guy they could use and it was LeSean."
Jackson added the team wants to give McCoy "up to 300 carries this year." That's fine, he said. Jackson just wants to win.
