Buffalo Bills wide receiver Sammy Watkins underwent hip surgery this offseason, and the team is being diligent about getting him back to full speed.
Tuesday at the team's mandatory minicamp session, according to ESPN's Mike Rodak, Watkins took the field for a single play in 11-on-11s and caught a screen pass. And according to Watkins' coach, he's moving along just fine.
"He looked good. He's getting close," coach Rex Ryan said. "He's right where we want him to be. And like we've always said, by training camp we expect him to be ready to roll."
