The Bills released the former first round guard Tuesday due to a failed physical, according to The Buffalo News. Williams was entering the second year of a $13 million contract--a year in which he was set to make $2 million.
Williams, who turns 30 next month, started three games last season before going under the knife for a back ailment.
The Bills also waived safety Deon Broomfield, leaving a pair of roster spots open just before camp opens.
