On second thought...
The Miami Dolphins announced Tuesday they have re-signed Josh Freeman after releasing the malign quarterback four days ago. Freeman originally signed with the Dolphins at the beginning of April but was let go last Friday.
Miami had a trio of roster spots to fill prior to the start of training camp later this week, so they called on Freeman's arm again.
He'll rejoin starter Ryan Tannehill and entrenched backup Matt Moore, as well as reserve signal-caller McLeod Bethel-Thompson, on the summer depth chart. He'll be duking it out for the third spot, though it's likely Miami still enters the season with two quarterbacks, barring an injury or some other unforeseen circumstance.
Freeman joined Miami after spending five seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before short stints with the Minnesota Vikings and New York Giants. He was a first-round pick in 2009.
