Rex Ryan and Wayne Hunter have officially been reunited.
The Buffalo Bills announced Wednesday they have signed the veteran offensive tackle, who has been out of an NFL gig since 2012.
Hunter, 33, spent three seasons under Ryan with the Jets from 2009-2011, where he struggled as a full-timer in the latter part of that stint. He then went to the St. Louis Rams in 2012 and hasn't been able to find a team since--at least until now.
Hunter worked out with the Bills during minicamp last month. Ryan thinks he'll be a fit in Buffalo.
"I think in an ideal world there are some players for whatever reason that are better in multiple roles and being almost like a utility guy, playing guard, tackle, tight end," he said, via BuffaloBills.com. "Giving you a lot of that versatility, a smart athletic guy."
