The New York Jets announced more transactions Tuesday, as they signed linebacker Johnson and released tight end Steve Maneri.
Johnson played collegiately at West Texas A&M and spent time on the Buffalo Bills’ active roster and practice squad last year. The 6-3, 260-pounder tallied 16.5 tackles for loss and eight sacks in college.
The 6-7, 280-pound Maneri is a fifth-year pro season who signed with the Jets in June after Zach Sufeld was placed on injured reserve.
