Jets' Wilkerson leaves practice with 'tweaked' hamstring

The New York Jets have one of the best defensive lines in the NFL--but only if its players can stay on the field.

According to ESPN New York's Rich Cimini, star defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson left Sunday's practice with an injury. That's a scare for Gang Green faithful, but coach Todd Bowles told reporters Wilkerson just "tweaked" his hamstring.

By his account, it's not a serious injury. Regardless, it's worth keeping an eye on, as hamstring ailments can linger.

The Jets, who are already missing Sheldon Richardson for the first four games of the season, are off Monday. That'll give their best defensive lineman a chance to rest and not miss anything.
