The New England Patriots are in depth chart mode at quarterback.
The team announced Monday it has signed quarterback Ryan Lindley and released Matt Flynn. Flynn was signed on June 12.
Lindley, 26, has played in nine NFL regular season games and one playoff game, completing 52-of-89 passes for 752 yards with two touchdowns and four interceptions.

He originally entered the NFL as a sixth-round draft pick in 2012 out of San Diego State. After two seasons with the Arizona Cardinals, Lindley was released and later signed by the San Diego Chargers to the practice squad. last November, he was re-signed by Arizona.
Flynn, 30, is a veteran of seven NFL seasons, spending most of his time with the Green Bay Packers but adding stints with the Seattle Seahawks, Oakland Raiders and Buffalo Bills. He has played in 51 NFL games with seven starts and has completed 219-of-357 passes for 2,541 yards with 17 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
