With RB Williams injury 'serious,' Bills sign Seale

It's only mid-August, but the Buffalo Bills running backs are so banged up you'd think it was Week 13.

With three ball carriers -- Fred Jackson, Anthony Dixon and Bryce Brown --  all sidelined with various injuries, the torch was handed to Karlos Williams this week for some reps and a legit shot at the No. 2 spot.

Instead, Williams was hospitalized with an unknown ailment Monday, an issue that is "serious" and could keep the rookie off the field for some time, according to the Buffalo News.

That forced the Bills to make some roster moves, bringing in rookie running back Ricky Seale, who played his college ball at Stanford, as well as veteran linebacker Quentin Groves.

Groves comes in to fill the role left void by Ty Powell, who was placed on IR after suffering a knee injury.
