Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill has spent plenty of time on the turf this season. And throughout his pro career, for that matter.
Tannehill was sacked six times Sunday by the Indianapolis Colts--a team that rarely sacks anyone. That brings the Dolphins' offensive sack total to 44 for the season.
According to Andrew Abramson of the Palm Beach Post, Tannehill's 183 sacks during his four seasons is the most of anyone in that span.
Blame it on an oft-injured and oft-changing offensive line, and blame it in part on Tannehill, who could seemingly use some improvement in his pocket awareness.
Either way, the Dolphins have a big problem in the pass protection category, and their record will continue to reflect it until something changes.
